How to Manually Update to the Latest Chatterbox Image

Depending on your network setup, sometimes the initial Chatterbox update has trouble completing, making it difficult to complete the initial setup process. In these scenarios, it is best to manually update your Chatterbox image to the latest using the instructions below.

To manually update your Chatterbox:

1. Download the latest Chatterbox image
2. Power OFF your Chatterbox
3. Remove the MicroSD card from your Chatterbox.
4. Insert the MicroSD card into the included adapter and insert it into your computer.
5. Download and install Etcher.
6. Open Etcher

7. Selected the Chatterbox image zipped file (no need to unzip the file) 

   

8. Make sure the SD card reader is selected in "Select target"

   

   

9. Click "Flash!"

   

10. Enter your password to allow burning image to disk.

    

11. Flashing the Chatterbox image could take a couple minutes, but once it's done you can insert it into your Chatterbox, power it on and go through our initial setup process.

    

12. Go to setup.hellochatterbox.com in a browser to setup your Chatterbox. (IMPORTANT: Click "allow mic access" when prompted).
